The “AI for Good: Co-Creating a Smarter Future” event, co-organized by ASIGS and IAPS (Industry Accelerator and Patent Strategy Center, National Chiao Tung University), was held on July 31, 2026, at Taiwan Tech Arena (TTA). The event brought together representatives from academia, industry, the investment community, and startup teams to discuss how artificial intelligence (AI) is driving innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry development.
During the event, Lawrence Cheung, Founder and Director of CHAMPFIT, shared insights on the development of ECF and Tip-FI and their role in supporting startup growth. He explained how innovative fundraising approaches and ecosystem collaboration can help promising startups scale more effectively. Several investment experts also shared their entrepreneurial experiences, investment perspectives, and market insights, offering practical guidance to aspiring founders.
A key highlight of the event was a startup pitching session featuring seven incubated startups. Each team representative was given four minutes to present their company vision, products, and growth strategy. All seven startups are leveraging AI as their core technology to provide innovative solutions across different industries and applications, demonstrating the creativity and entrepreneurial drive of the next generation of founders.
Following the presentations, Lawrence Cheung and a panel of industry experts provided feedback on the startups' business models, market positioning, and growth plans. The discussion offered valuable perspectives from both investors and industry practitioners, helping the teams refine their strategies and strengthen their potential for commercialization and future growth.
